The mid-market exchange rate between the Japanese yen and the Nepalese rupee is at the moment quite close to its highest value of the past 2-week period. Its maximal value recorded during this period was JPY 1 = NPR 0.9329 (it is now only 0.5% less than that), reached last Tuesday. This current high value of the Japanese yen-Nepalese rupee rate is in stark contrast with the recent much lower value (JPY 1 = NPR 0.8988) observed on January 8, when a transfer of 4,000 JPY for example only gave you 3,595.13 NPR (the same amount converts to 3,713.02 NPR now).
