With around a million Poles living in the UK, it should come as no surprise that Polish TV is in high demand in the country. However, tuning in to the BBC or another British cable channel won't bring you any Polish programming — meaning you'll need to be inventive if you'd like to watch your favorite Polish language shows from the UK.

Fortunately, there are many options to get the job done. In this short guide, we explore four methods to watch Polish TV in the UK. Stay tuned!

Method 1 — Using a UK Polish TV Service

Given how many Poles live and work in the country, it shouldn't surprise you that many British-based companies have sprung up to offer Polish satellite TV in the UK. A few of them include:

  • PolskaTelewizja.co.uk: This TV services has been operating since 2004 and offers service primarily in London, Luton, Gloucester, Milton Keynes, and many other locations. The company installs decoders and satellite and terrestrial antennae and allows you to access most famous Polish TV channels from your home TV. Plans cost between 19.99 zł and 199.99 zł per month depending on your preferences.
  • FixSat: This company has been selling digital television since 2008, including Polsat and Canal +; and it also installs digital satellite and terrestrial TV platforms.
  • SatService: Through SatService, you can buy set-top boxes, TV packages, remote controls, satellite dishes, TV hardwar and much more.
  • Polska TV HD: This company offers Polish TV in the UK in HD quality without any antenna or contract. What's more, TV packages only cost £10 per month, which is reasonably cheap.

Method 2 — Watching TVP1 Online

Online TVP1 program in the UK can be watched, for example, via WP Pilot, which offers over 100 Polish TV channels.

As part of its streaming, TVP provides TVP Info, TVP Polonia, as well as regional programs (e.g. TVP Warszawa). TVP also provides a library of films and series in Polish as part of its VOD service (many of which are in HD quality).

However, WP Pilot doesn't serve customers in the UK, even if they're Poles with a residential address in the country. This means you'll need to use a VPN (more on this below).

Method 3 — Using TVN International

In the UK, you can watch TVN Player as part of the TVN International package. This package isn't very extensive, and only gives you the opportunity to watch three Polish TV channels online: ITVN, ITVN Extra and TVN24 (as well as VOD packages).

The price of the service comes to 50 zł per month.

Method 4 — Using a VPN

NordVPN

As we've seen above, some TV services block access to watching Polish TV in the UK. This is because a lot of Polish streaming services don't work with a British IP address (instead, your IP address will need to be Polish).

Fortunately, there is a solution for this — a VPN that changes our computer's IP address. A VPN is a kind of tool that allows you to obtain an IP address in Poland (and plenty of other countries). Using a VPN, you'll be able to set your location as Poland and make the TV service believe that you're physically present in the country.

For example, when you see a message like this on your screen, you'll be able to bypass it by switching to a Polish IP address:

In summary, by using a VPN, you'll quickly and easily be able to change your IP address to a Polish one to dodge regional blocks and watch Polish series, movies, news, and sports — not just from the UK, but from anywhere in the world.

We recommend registering with ExpressVPN, which has servers in Poland and guarantees connection stability. Plus, it's number one in most rankings!
