I agree with the other five-star reviews. We have used Fastmail for nine years. What price do you put on privacy? The Fastmail company doesn't profile you and sell you to advertisers. Plus, the service is rock-solid and dependable. I like the Fastmail smartphone app. Easy to access, compose and reply to emails on the go. When I've referred others to Fastmail, they find it a breath of fresh air. I take advantage of Fastmail's aliases, folders and rules for organizing and sorting incoming and outgoing email. I use different email addresses for different web services. If I want to pull the plug on a service, I can delete the alias, too, and never be bothered by marketing emails.

I had this FastMail for many years as a second email. When they started charging it made me think what is FastMail worth? Comparing to all the other FREE email's Gmail/Yahoo etc etc etc ..there was NOTHING I could see that made FastMail worth PAYING for. It has a very simple interface .. definitely NO BETTER than all the rest. In the past I actually had PROBLEMS with FastMail that I have never had with any other mail system. FASTMAIL IS NOT WORTH PAYING FOR !!!

I have been using email and Web domains for over 20 years, I aways enjoyed things for free, we all do, but my free Gmail account I have had since 2005, though it thought it was free, it comes with a much bigger price tag than you think, and I don't want to be a product sold by Google! I rely on email for my own business, and it's so important so why would I not pay for it? There are moaners on here who expect Fastmail for free, well they can't have things for free, that's just not realistic. This is why is works well for me: 1. Good and fairly fast personal support. 2. A decent price for the storage, as I was over 15 GB and gmail wanted money off me! 3. I find it very easy to use and set up and has all the features I want. 4. I have about 10 or 15 domains, I was paying hosting on a couple, and as they were simple websites, Fastmail hosts for free. It's now paid for itself on that saving alone. 5. My hosting and divert to Gmail and then Fastmail was sometimes slow with the host. This was always an issue I could get to the bottom with with 3IX, and paying $12 a year they didn't want to help. Now I changed my nameservers to Fastmail, my email from my dotcoms are super fast! 6. I can send and receive emails from all my domains, something Gmail stopped, and can do it with ease. I'm very pleased, I would rather a company in Australia than the US as well, also no VAT for those in Europe. I hate what's app, FB and Google as they have zero respect for privacy and for $50 a year, it's a small price to pay when email is important to me. I spent quite some time looking into this, and can recommend this service for most people.

Recently started using this service, and am quite impressed with fastmail.com I have tested a large variety of e-mail providers, both small and large companies, and fastmail.com is definitely a good bet, from my experiences and observations Here's why: + Their staff are super prompt and helpful about customer service + Their webmail and settings UI is super fast, astonishingly it easily competes with google, and its so fast that it really saved the day when the previous, and uttely *hopeless* e-mail provider I was using, suddenly cut the fully paid-for contract early... all the changes in the Fastmail settings, and the domain's zone file, propogated around the Fastmail servers very quickly, whereas even with icloud.com I received an e-mail about forwarding being enabled, the day *after* i had enabled it (?!?!) + There is a good variety of security features, including two factor authentication, aliases, DKIM signatures, admin users, etc. + Their payment model allows you to connect multiple domains to one paid plan and inbox; you pay per inbox, not per domain + Their trial service offers all the full features for you to test + Their blog demonstrates their well developed knowledge of e-mail, and who the actual staff behind the company are + They have been providing e-mail for a long time, and the MX records of duckduckgo.com, a newer search engine, show that fastmail.com are the e-mail provider. and DuckDuckGo are nowadays a billion dollar company, according to a Forbes article you can search for. Note: it's likely DuckDuckGo would be using PGP, on top of Fastmail's services + They offer some bonus file storage and calendar services, which seem to work well + They can be found on the official Australian government business registration website abr.business.gov.au The only bad things i can think of are: - They don't offer some of the more advanced security options that i see with only a few small providers - There is no way to pay over the phone. even just an automated service would be easier for non-tech savvy people - It requires a mobile number, and you cannot use a landline instead, to use all the features in the trial, or to use as an account recovery number - A loose DMARC policy on @fastmail.com addresses

I would never use or recommend a company that would happily delete/remove email accounts from multiple users.

I've been using fastmail for years. During the time of opera ownership the new interface was dropped on customers without consultation. In my view it's a dog. Like many, I continued using the friendly old interface, even though it was a bit of a workaround to access it. Now that's being scrapped, allegedly June 30th 2017. In fact its mostly unavailable more than a month prior. Move over Fastmail,

I have been with FastMail for a little bit of time now, my experience has been fantastic. A brilliantly designed service with brilliant features and uptime. The pricing also represents great value for money. Whilst I've been using FastMail - any problems or queries that I have had were dealt promptly, professionally and with knowledge by the FastMail team. This is something which I think is really important, and they've mastered it. As with many others, email is absolutely essential for my day-to-day life, so FastMail had to get it right. They have done exactly that. I was recommended FastMail by a fellow IT professional, and they definitely suggested well. I would not hesitate to recommend FastMail to friends, family or a colleague. In fact, I probably will!

Irgendwann hatte sich das Design geändert, und ich erfuhr, dass Fastmail operamail gekauft hatte. Der Satz von Rob Mueller (Zitat): "Alle bestehenden Konten werden wie bisher weitergeführt. Am Abrechnungszeitraum, den Preisen, Funktionen und der Sicherheit gibt es keine Änderungen." ist in meinen augen blanker Hohn. Ich wollte nach längerer Zeit wieder auf meinen Account zugreifen, erhielt jedoch nur die Information: Wegen längerer Inaktivität wurde Ihr Account gelöscht. ...super...also eine Anfrage an den Kundensupport : "I have saved important documents on my po box there. Need access to my Account, I 've been using for 10 years. Thanks!" die Antwort kam am nächsten Tag: "Hi, It appears your account got deactivated due to inactivity. Guest accounts are deactivated after 120 days of inactivity. Since we no longer provide a "Guest" subscription, I am afraid we cannot reactivate or restore your account. Sorry. You can find more details in our blog post here: ... I am afraid all data in your account is lost forever. You can however signup a fresh account using the same username if you would like to. I had a free email account since many years, and recently I decided to become a paying user to remove the limitations of a free account. I made the mistake of giving only a quick look to the conditions before paying, assuming that if one day I want to stop paying my account would just go back to its free account status, with the corresponding limitations. However I discovered that one can never go back to being a free user: your account and its whole content will be instead simply deleted. In other words once you start paying you can no longer stop unless you accept to lose that email account and address; you can never go back to the free account. Since this is counter-intuitive to say the least, I recommend to carefully read and understand all the conditions before starting to pay; and while this is of course always a good idea in general (although not very realistic), it's particularly important in this case.

I have email accounts with gmail, Yahoo and Outlook. They all have flaws, so I decided to go shopping for something better, something to serve as my main man. First, I opened accounts with a number of the freebies (lycos, zoho, mail, GMX, AOL), but all had important flaws. I then went to paid services and finally hit the jackpot with Fastmail, an Australian company with its servers (as I understand it) in the U.S. Fastmail is extremely well planned, well organized, well balanced, and it's fast to boot. A calendar is essential for me, and Fastmail jumps quickly and easily between mail, calendar and contacts. You can have your email from other providers detoured into your Fastmail inbox easily. You can reply with various aliases easily too, sending back, say, something sent to your gmail with a gmail return address, and it's all done smoothly. Outlook does that too, but it sure is not smooth. There are various other capabilities Fastmail possesses, stuff I care nothing about, but others do, high-tech stuff, so that's good for those customers. As mentioned, this is not free, but it's certainly reasonable. There are four plans. The lowest, "Lite," costing just 10 U.S. bucks a year. The next plan is $20, then $40 and then the biggie that's $120. I imagine that's for businesses. I have the $20 plan. Great provider. Easy to use. Good customer service. Reasonable price. Five stars easy. Couldn't be happier. Been with it about a month now.
