Bunch of crooks ; I want give 0 star rate . never deserve one star rate. 25th July I spoke to the ombudsman service assistant over the phone Regarding Barclays blackmail letter and insulting issue at barclays branch in Manchester M2 7 PW ; incident on 14th july Citizen advice team advised me to phone to the financial ombudsmen I received letter from Barclays on 25th july . I made complaint about barcleys bank ( Address is . 17 St Anns Square, Manchester M2 7PW Due to barcley bank constantly control my money and I feel extremely unsafe on barcley bank so far . I never have overdraft and loyal customer over 5 years . but my debit visa card have been trouble so many times.: one cosmetic online company took out my money without my permission and my money took out even i did not put my pin number I'm using disable contactless card I was going to buy one book via e bay but I could not pay via pay pal one day 14th July . Pay pal customer service team told me that Barclay did not want to authorise my money . pay pal customer service team name Robin ( R; 6693458 ) She advised me to go to the barcleys and aske to authourise . what a nonsense !!!! and I got email from pay pal ; that real shocked Pay pal team said that My bank account was insufficient fund . 14 July There wasn't enough money in your bank account ending in ** to cover the below payment you sent. Transaction Details Recipient: Peining Lai Your Transaction ID: xxxx As a result, we debited the amount from your PayPal balance. Yours sincerely, PayPal ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm very upset by barcleys ongoing scam again . I got letter from barcley bank on 25th july. however that letter is blackmail Letter said that '' your bank account will be closed on 21 September. 2017 in accordance with our commercial and other obligations under section 11,customer agreement ( term of condition ) what a blackmail !!!! intimidating ! I drop by the bank . st anns square manchester regarding this letter issue on 25th July . Christ lownton manger smirk at me '' we made decision;"" disgusting ever ! . I really do not want to see him. cos he is incompetent and intimidating one. but he show up front of me again even I prefer to meet other bank teller . Christ even said that ''we not open your account for the rest of my life .'' I'm already plaining to move to other bank but it is unacceptable !! barcley closed down my bank account without my permission and mess around my money too many time beforehand . Tip of the iceberg . my 600.00 pound cash stuck in ATM last year ( inside Barcley bank Address is . 17 St Anns Square, Manchester M2 7PW ATM visa debit card swallow by ATM inside barcley bank some of bank tellers gave inaccurate information so many time . Anyway I've decided move to other bank for the sake of my peace of mind My money still in Barcley bank . barcley still try to messed around my money ?? I really want to keep my mental health first of all Barcley bank will be closed on 21 September without any apologise and accurate answer to me . im very sure that letter is blackmail. unacceptable and undermining scam !!! verbally abusive and insulting by Barclays bank team. disgraceful ever !. No wonder Barclays former boss of Barclays faces a maximum 22 year prison sentence after he and three other ex-directors of the lender became the first British bankers to face criminal charges for actions taken during the financial crisis !! Customer service has been decent although customer service as a whole do seem to struggle with the English language. However, on two occasions they have gone above and beyond to sort out issues and done so quickly and efficiently. I am really glad to have stayed as a customer.

For the 2nd time in the last couple of weeks, I have called the 'Bereavement Service Centre' to ask for help, as there was NOTHING on the website of any use. Fortunately, this is part of my job, rather than a distraught relative trying to deal with the Estate of a loved-one. Yes, it's great - you got advised at the beginning of the call that call wait time is 'over 10 mins'. Today, a staggering forty-two minutes later, my call was answered. Politely, and I actually got the answer I required. I worked in call centres for many years, and it's not the easiest place to work, so I chose not to make the poor girl's day any more miserable than it probably already was. But REALLY - the BEREAVEMENT CENTRE - you really need to do better for those customers who need your help in such a stressful situation.

Barclays blocked one of my international payments with the consequence that I almost lost a property bid. No explanation whatsoever and Barclays made no attempt to contact me. I tried calling them multiple times only to end up with clueless staff who couldn't answer why the transfer was blocked or what to do to sort out the problem, spent hours on the phone. A horrible experience and it feels so UNSAFE having Barclays handle my money. Avoid this bank at all cost, I will be closing my accounts as soon as possible. - Horrible telephone service waiting times - Clueless staff who themselves have to call around (spending time in phone queues) to figure out what's going on - Dangerously poor IT systems and fragmented organisation -Where is the regulator!?

So many times i tried to contact the seychelles branch. The telephone hasnt been answered. I found it after 2 hours research on internet. After i filled out finally all account application documents i sent it over there. 18 days later came the response that THEY DONT TAKE FOREIGN CLIENTS anymore. i am really asking my self for what this bank really exists if you are blocked to open a bank account in another country... and i am a resident at the Seychelles for more than 15 years!
Found their managers rude and ineffective with better than useless call center support. I could only hope they listen to their clients more.
