ICICI Bank just has become a place that is so large and huge, that they are acting like the Government. I have had an account for over 15 years, and now anything you ask them to do, is 'process driven', with 'no service care', with 'no customer service orientation' to the individuals. With a UHNI account status, and handling many other clients through ICICI Wealth Management Branch at Mehboob Studios, these team is just gotten an 'attitude' and it might also be supported by the 'management team' who usually should act as a watch-dog to see what is really going on. But, when a chicken is running with its head cut off, it runs all over the place not knowing where it is going, or what it is doing. Ultimately, it comes under a Ric and dies! Well, I am not saying that is the goal here, but Management at the upper layers need to wake up, since HDFC is right at the tails and Kotak and SC is no far behind to take this Rs200cr worth of total business away to them. Wake up ICICI Wealth Management and start providing value, or cease to exist as a "premier service provider".

Took a Car Loan with Zero Foreclosure Charges. When I went for Foreclosure, they asked to wait for 2 Yrs. else pay 5% foreclosure charges. All email and written correspondence with bank did not give any details of 2 yrs waiting period. The Salesperson at Bank for Car loan did not share any official sealed and signed loan offer and said that the loan is approved and no other document except repayment schedule shall be available. Had to pay Rs. 35000/- extra for not having any official document for foreclosure charges. All MII (most imp documents) which were signed were at bank and had a hidden clause which did not show that there is a waiting period for foreclosure of Loan. Bank Salesperson email reads Zero foreclosure charges on having a specific bank account with bank.

ICICI bank customer service used to be much better. I was able to speak to a rep by calling 866-ICICI 4U. Now, they have some automated service that keeps sending you from one sub-menu to another. You do not get an option to speak to someone. The system sometimes accepts account information and most times it does not. Most frustrating part is that the system conveniently disconnects you after three tries.

So they told me to get a password to go online but refuse to issue one their. I just spent over 20 mins on the phone, still cannot get the password!. The rep totally don't know what is the problem. It is the worst bank in my entire life.Don't ever think about to bank with them.

As been older person I keep my eye on the interest rates to get the best returns. Try to join icici bank, but was unable as my mobile number contradicted with another account after explaining to them and 4 phone calls that it may be my previous account from 2 years ago. They advise me that having the sort code and their account number. I could send money from my bank to icici. However, after several weeks and a number of phone calls and speaking to a supervisor. They phone me back on my landline left a message on the machine to phone them as the mobile number was now resolved phoned customer service asked reference to my enquiry. I explained that their supervisor asked me to phone back put on hold for roughly 16 minutes. This was a short time previous to other phone calls, she asked me to logon. Then she said, your mobile number corresponds with somebody else account back to the same story several phone calls closed my account received email in 24 hours, saying the problem was resolved. However, stressed enough without going through the same scrip no customer service. No structure if not straightforward.

Worst customer service. I wanted to open an NRO account. There website says, if we fill our mobile number in the form (or if we give missed call to some number) we get a call from their customer care within 15 minutes. I tried 10 times, I emailed to them, and finally received call after two days. However the lady on the phone was very unfriendly and without much details she just asked me to call some other number. When I called the other number (ICICI NRI customer care Bangalore) she asked me to give missed call to a number (which I already tried many times from previous day) and abruptly cut the call. In spite of having a savings account and NRE account, I could not open an NRO account at ICICI! Shame on them!!!

Terribly poor service. I was suggested to take home loan from an employee of ICICI bank. The list of ICICI approved projects and builders were also given to me. Then I chose a project and invested there. At first the money was not disbursed as the builder was not doing work at proper speed and I was informed. I asked if they could get tripartite approval when the builder starts working at proper pace and it was replied that in that case tripartite approval could be given. Days passed and after the builder has started working properly, they didn't disburse money. And finally after a long 9 months it was informed that tripartite approval could not be given and hence no disbursement can be given. I am now going to withdraw all my deposits from ICICI bank.

Extreamly slow service, its been 9 days they have all my documents and couldnt open a current account of my company. One of there employee (Mayank) took the papers and commited to open an account in maximum 3 days..but since then I did not received any confirmation of the account, when I call him, he says its been done just wait till tomorrow for an account number... But next day his phone get switched off with a message... "+918288045173 lavish bhatia for ac no i on leave today". Now when I called this person he says that account is still pending. I do not know whom to trust, but yes, I was able to open n account with Axis Bank before they did fot me..N I am out of the situation, atleast I can manage my funds in business. Advice for all.. may be ICICI offers max services but do we really get them on time? I am about to close almost 28 accounts of my family members... including mine worth a good capital for any banker. N this will be my revenge of hindrance in my business caused due to them. Arpit Grover

I initiated a transfer for an urgent family purpose on June11th and that is when i came to know my account is on debit freeze. You know what, they never put your account on Credit Freeze and take money from anywhere even if your details are not up to date. They are hungry for money. I have opened a SR with ICICI bank to update my KYC on June12th so they can remove the debit freeze from my account. They told it will be taken as high priority and clear the debit freeze the next day. I waited for that day and no communication from them. I called again on June 14th and they told we promise and clear the debit freeze. I waited for one more day and on Friday i had to call them again and then they told my KYC is not cleared because of address proof missing. I had to call them, they will never update you if something is missing, but they keep sending emails for depositing money into their bank. We all keep getting the JUNK emails which are of no use to anyone of us. Friday night i sent my address proof and they told Saturday first thing they will clear the debit freeze. Its a lie. Because i called them on Saturday afternoon and they told the team does not work on Saturdays. So they told it will be done by Monday morning. So i called them on Monday and still my account is on Debit freeze. Now i lost my cool on them and asked them. After an hour of waiting, they told me the debit freeze is removed. So, now i tried to initiate my transfer again and it failed again. I called them again and they told the debit freeze on one of the accounts is removed and it has got only Rs 400 to it and i was left with no other option but to wait again. They told the team has already left and they will get it done by Tuesday morning on the other account too. I called them again on Tuesday morning and they told they do not know why it is not removed yet, so i told them that i am not gonna get of the phone till they remove it. They convinced me that they will call me in 30min, but as usual they do not stand on their word. I had to call them back in an hour and they told the debit freeze this time is due to pan card not updated. I have submitted my PAN card as well to them for my KYC clearance, but see they actually do not go through your documents to clear anything. they just simply sit there and while away their time living on our money. So now i raised a request to update my Pan car details. The SR team is still in office then and they will not take my request as priority and clear it. They will do it at their convenience tomorrow it seems. I have no other option but to wait and see how stupid people can be and that too when ICICI is making a living on customers money and not responding to customers requests. Of all this, the customer service people are the best to talk to. I know they have got nothing to do in this all mess that the SR team or the bank policies have created. ICICI tops the worst banks list if there is any such thing. I would not suggest this bank to any new customers and suggest existing customers to look for better options as ICICI will hit you hard in the time of need. They will never understand customers priorities.

Have had salary account with ICICI UK for 2 and a half years now. I have had various occasions where card transactions are declined and customer care has no clue. A backend team request is raised and they have no clue about what went wrong either. I have lost lot of time and money because of this. They havent been able to fix this yet. My card is not working today as well and i cant book my travel. I have had to pay late payment fees to my letting agent, spend double on train tickets numerous times all thanks to the "server down" issue that ICICI cant figure out.

If you value your time, energy, money and importantly your health (because they will drive you crazy) then avoid this crappy bank! Things were perfect till the account was opened. Thereafter everything went downhill, I just wanted to do my initial funds transfer to my newly opened ICICI account from my overseas bank but boy they have managed to screw-up that simple service at multiple levels! Seriously it is a completely screwed up! Initially their customer-care employee said, I can do normal wire transfer, so I did a normal wire transfer but the transaction was rejected (my overseas bank informed that the transaction was rejected because my ICICI account was inactive/frozen). Luckily, I was in India that time, so visited their branch and asked them about it. They asked me to do another wire transfer and this time they will lift the freeze, believing them I made another wire transfer but again the transaction was rejected with same reason! I had long discussions with the branch employees and customer-care employees’ multiple times while I was in India. They've created a nuisance deadlock and not ready to admit or see it. My account is frozen because there are no funds, and I can’t transfer funds because it is frozen! Every time I call their customer-care, I get different replies/solutions! After many calls with their customer-care, I was informed that I should not do normal wire transfer but should use an intermediate/correspondent bank, and nobody knows how to do that! Bravo! Then they suggested that I should request for the transfer service via their internet banking, I did the same and again the request was rejected for the same reason. Then they suggested me to use Money2India, but when I checked, it said it is not available in my geological region. Today when I called their customer-care, they informed me that I should not do wire-transfer at all! If so, then why the heck did they waste my time all these days? Frustrating as hell and totally worthless service. Now they are asking me to send a Cheque! If this much of my time, energy, money and my health is wasted on such a simple service then there is no way I’m going to continue with these bunch of frauds and idiots.
