Yet another unhappy customer - I deposited £200, made one transfer, verified my account no problem, attempted a second transfer, which never completed, and then both accounts (mine and my intended recipient, my mother-in-law who depends on the money I send her) were closed permanently with no information and refusal to refund the balance of my account. I have used them for a little over 2 years now and at first it was great, apart from some minor glitches here and there. I have been travelling almost nonstop since starting my account with them, and they have kept on freezing my account almost every time I have arrived at a new destination. Usually it has been relatively easy to resolve though so I was happy.. About 7 or so months ago, I contacted them about changing the name on my account and eventually connect it to my bank account and was told that I would be assisted by someone shortly.. Then silence.. I sent them some more e-mails, but still; silence. Since my account and debit card was still functional though I decided to continue on using them anyway for the time being (since I am travelling, getting a new card elsewhere isn't exactly easy - even my own bank is refusing to send me a replacement of my debit card). Then in the beginning of December my debit card suddenly stopped working. I log in to find that it has been discontinued. I e-mail support (after spending hours trying to find the e-mail form to begin with), but no reply. I have repeatedly e-mailed them, both through the site and directly from my e-mail (even responding to old messages) for the last two months in an attempt to get help with my card (either re-opening it, since it hasn't expired yet, or reissuing a new card), but no response. I only got an e-mail the other day stating that they have closed my case because I haven't provided them with documents needed. AGAIN; I never got an e-mail from them (and I check spam every day) or any contact at all. The other day, I check their Facebook page to see if I'm the only one having issues (as it turns out; No, I'm not), and I end up writing a comment on one of their posts, stating that I have tried to contact them repeatedly the last few months and that I am now bowing out and taking my business elsewhere. They promptly reply to my comment with a number of "contact support"-messages, to which I say "No". At this point they send me a personal message asking me if I want a new card and if I have money in my account. I tell them that it doesn't matter anymore and that I don't care, because really I'm over all of this. The reply? "Ok b****" and then they block me. I really liked Neteller when I first signed up to them 2 or 3 years ago, but they have only gone downhill since then. And calling customers "b****" for seeking assistance is not okay (especially since I did nothing to warrant them insulting me, I was respectful through the whole conversation that I had with them). I would definitely not recommend Neteller to anyone. I still have money in my account (thankfully not as much as other reviewers that I have come across) that I am now doubting I will ever see again. I'm done with the company. If you considering signing up with them, I'd say DON'T. Better find another e-wallet that will not rip you off and treat you like s**t in the process.

Nothing but trouble to deal with ,will not accept the webcam features they asked for. They did however accept 500.00 I was going to put into another company. Now because I am not a "member" I cannot get those funds back. They have no phone or emails that I can contact them with. I would not touch them with a barge pole. Use some other way of transferring money. They charge 3.99% to transfer, so this could end up being an expensive exercise for me.

I did a wire transfer to deposit some money into my Neteller account. Shortly thereafter, the system told me my account was deactivated because I needed to verify my ID and address. My ID was verified. Their network-based address verification system doesn't work. I provided a perfectly valid internet bill with my billing address. I was told it was no good and I needed to provide some other things I simply do not have (I do banking in a different country, and all other bills are in my wife's name.) Then I told them to close my account and return my money by transferring it to the same bank I used to deposit the money. They said they couldn't make transfers to the bank's country. In short, I have money stuck in a Neteller account that they have essentially stolen.
NO PHONE CONTACT, AGES TO ANSWER AN URGENT E-MAIL. NO RESPECT AT ALL!!!!!! I NEED TO CONTACT NOW. CANNOT ACESS MY ACCOUNT!!!!

I can't believe I was so dumb as to not check them out first. I'm normally so careful when it comes to money. As almost everyone here has said, they are internet muggers, pure and simple. The scam is to freeze any account that has money in it, then eventually release a fraction of it if you fight hard enough.

Also, since sharing experience here helped me exactly to get my money back, I am more than happy to share/report my experience so I can help someone now. Stay away from these criminals, they are a scam and it is only a matter of the time when their real face will show up. Everything has been smooth, fine and efficient for a year and a half. Previously, while it was possible I even used their Neteller Prepaid Master Card to withdraw money from ATM Machines since I am a freelancer, as well, and cooperate with people from abroad and facing difficulties to receive money since PayPal has not been fully functional in my native country (Montenegro, Southeastern Europe, we can pay over the Internet but can't receive payments, we are waiting for PayPal to accept us). I was so happy to find out that Neteller is active in my country. Some minor sums have been arriving duly to my Neteller account (between 20-150 USD dollars per month). However, 2 weeks ago, I recommended Neteller to one of my collaborators after being sure it is active in his country too. The test sending of 5 USD happened and then the next day the rest of the sum, 860 USD, was sent. The moment that money reached Neteller, they ''froze'' it and when Help Center contacted they sent the e-mail with the instruction to call a certain number to state the time most convenient for me to be called by an agent to verify my identity additionally. The agent would call me within 1-3 hours from the moment most convenient for me. Of course, in that e-mail there was a non-sense that they tried to reach me by the phone to check my identity but that has never happened. I tried to call the number and would get the same useless voice machine telling me to press number 1 for English, number 2 for ....number 3 for whatever language, etc. Also, I tried to call the 24/7 support number for the United Kingdom only to get again a voice machine telling me to call within the working hours. I tried several numbers found on the internet or the one from the instruction....it says: ''If you have your 12 digit account code number, press this button to enter it and someone will talk to you...'' , of course, when that done,again a voice machine telling you to press number 1 for English, bla, bla, bla. I REALIZED THEY ARE A SCAM! Hence, I was shocked to read these reviews here and thanks to the experience shared by Venkatesh Patel 1 review (MANY THANKS TO HIM!!! ) I contacted the office of the Financial Ombudsman in England and they reacted immediately....I sent many direct and threatening e-mails and was ready to contact the police if no reaction from the office of the Financial Ombudsman. Please follow all that Mr. Patel wrote....These scumbags have the right to process your complaint within 60 days but if they do not do it then, no talking to them but to the office of Financial Ombudsman and the police! Just to say that one day after contacting the office of the Financial Ombudsman and my e-mails sent to them to inform that the office has been contacted and their behavior reported, my money ''miraculously'' was unblocked and my account ''verified'' and I withdrew money to my local bank account successfully. Also, I sent the e-mail shouting to CLOSE MY ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY hoping I will not have to contact the same office so they do it. The same day I sent it I got the immediate response that my account was closed and the e-mail to rate their service. Hence, this is my review and the rating of them!

I am a freelancer , I have chosen this company to get paid globally (later I found out from support that you can be paid only by people you know in person . how stupid is that ?) everything was fine till few days ago some scumbag paid me 950 euros from hijacked account , in about 10 minutes , after I already give up the job, transfer was reversed and scumbag disappeared . Two weeks before that I've tried to move 1901.60 euro to bank account with transferwise , transaction was declined with code 05 (do not honor) but money was deducted from my account . I contacted support about this ,they told me "If the transaction is not debited by the merchant and we do not receive a confirmation for it, we will automatically return the money back to your balance within 14 days" they released my money in 16 days after I reminded them .. For this time my account was already limited ,so I couldn't withdraw my money . Next day when I tried to login I get this message : Account closed Your account has been permanently closed. NETELLER is no longer able to provide service to this account. Support by phone keep telling me that all I can do is wait . If your anti-fraud system can detect fraudulent transaction in less then 10 minutes after , and reverse it , it means that transaction had red flags in the very beginning (IT specialists will understand ) why system set to allow transaction in this case? No additional security checks ? To have excuse for stealing money from your customers ? Your money never safe with this kind of financial institutions , they protect only themselves . In conclusion : I've lost 950 euros , probably they will find excuse to steal rest of my money (all together 3000 euro) If you reading this before you get scammed , my advice is USE classic banks ,maybe it less convenient but it's 100 times more secure . and they have address where you can go in case if something goes wrong .

1 star is a compliment, if you are new and wanting to join please stay away and use pay pal, i just deposited a large amount the second it said deposit successful it logged me out and said my account is disabled, they have no live chat, customer service phone line is closed and emails bounce back saying their inbox is full, the first step they say to verifying your account is to deposit so i did and then they block you out until you send in ID which by the looks of reviews will take days, why not take ID then once account is okay to use accept funds, i will never be using them agai.

November 12, 2017 Greetings, my name is J. Halfhuid. I am from a small South American country called Surinam. I decided to open a Neteller account in order to fund my 24option (binary option) and betfair account.Right now I am in the process of trying to withdraw some funds from my Neteller account back to my local bank account. After 7 (yes seven ) attempts in about 3 weeks I keep getting declined by Neteller. Each time different reasons are cited for declining my withdrawal requests. To make matters worse I suddenly received an urgent email from Neteller informing me that I must withdraw all my remaining funds before Jan. 3, 2018 when my account will officially be closed. This coming week I will once again initiate a withdrawal request and I can only hope that this unpleasant issue will finally be resolved. I also wish to mention that the requested withdrawal amount is truly small ( 120 Usd ). But to me the size of the amount is not the issue. What matters is that if Neteller keeps refusing to honor my withdrawal request for such an insignificant amount of money and keeps dragging this issue untill Jan.3, 2018 when my funds will be "legally" seized, how will any other gamblers/ traders on the internet be able to trust this company with a substantially larger amount of money ( for example 20,000 Euros) ?? NEVER USE IT. I'd call them a scammer. Support team hardly answers E-mails. Money stuck in the account. I registered and deposited money to use the virtual prepaid matercard service, but in the end, it couldn't pay successfully on the merchant site because most of the site request 3D verification code that would be sent to your cell phone number or email address, and Neteller doesn't have it. I'm now trying to withdraw the money from my account, and that would be charged about 10%of the money I put in my account for nothing. To me, it is ridiculous to have to pay for a service that is barely completed. And now all the options they are offering are irresponsible. BTW, why is it legal at all? they probably just use the money that got stuck to re-invest.
