This current high level of the BRL-CUP differs considerably from the much lower value (BRL 1 = CUP 4.6204) observed on May 12, when sending 4,000 Brazilian reales for example only gave you 18,481.45 CUP (the exact same amount is equal to 19,673.72 CUP now).
